Fizz-Buzz is a game that Martin, and later, Arthur, enjoys playing.
How to Play[]
Players of Fizz-Buzz count up the numbers, and say "Fizz" for any multiple of 3 and "Buzz" for any multiple of 5. For example:
1, 2, Fizz, 4, Buzz, Fizz, 7, 8, Fizz, Buzz.
Mechanical buzzes may also be counted as part of the game.
Variants[]
Variations of the game include replacing odd numbers with "Fizz" and even numbers with "Buzz." Another variation is to say. "Buzz" when someone says "Fizz", and after "Buzz", the third player must say something else.
For example:
Fizz, Buzz, Have a Banana!
However, Douglas comments that this variation does not make for a very long game, which leads to Martin's suggestion that a player's name will be the signal for "Fizz", which is the signal for "Buzz", and so on. For example:
...Martin, Fizz, Buzz, Have a banana!
It is unclear, however, if all players have to say "Have a banana" after "Buzz", or just the next player in line. This variation may also be used as a cheer.
